9 tips for a strong Out of Home campaign
Birgit

Imagine the following: your message is seen, understood, and remembered, all within seconds. Powerful visual communication is the key to this success. However, that is not a given. Here are 9 tips to make this happen.
1. Keep it short and simple!
You are driving, walking, on public transport, or on a bicycle, so there are only a few seconds to understand the message. Keep it short and simple, so that your message is clear at a glance.
2. Stand out!
Grab attention and prevent yourself from blending into the background. Make your message striking and distinctive by using the right colors.
3. Connect with your target audience
Know your target audience and tailor your imagery and text to them. You don't need to stand out to everyone, just to your target audience.
4. Focus on your goal
Know what you want to achieve and concentrate on one powerful message. Clarity and simplicity are key.
5. Use a maximum of 5 to 6 words
Less is more! Limit your message to a maximum of 5 to 6 words. This increases the chances of your message being understood.
6. Be relevant
With digital out-of-home, you can respond to the time of day, the weather, location, news, and current events. Make use of these opportunities to make your message even more relevant.
7. Clarity at a distance
Ensure that your text or message is still clearly legible and understandable from a greater distance.
8. Clear logo and correct margins
Place your logo prominently in view and take margins and the field of vision into account. A clear logo strengthens your brand identity.
9. Gaze direction of people on your posters
If you use people in your visuals, make sure their gaze is directed towards your message. This naturally guides the viewer's attention to your most important message.
